THE ROLE

As a Technical Writer with us, you will take full responsibility for Scanreco's external product documentation and information. Your main tasks will include creating and maintaining various types of technical documentation, primarily manuals (longer projects) and data sheets (shorter tasks).

A typical workday involves research, writing, proofreading, and publishing. The job involves gathering information to build your own understanding of the products. This is done by participating in R&D meetings, interviewing colleagues within the organization, and reviewing existing documentation. The collected information is then converted into written form for manuals and data sheets. All manuals and data sheets are written in English. As such, liaising with external translation agencies for translations into other languages is part of the job.

You will be a key team member at Scanreco, where clear and user-friendly documentation makes work safer and easier for our customers and operators. Well-organized and accessible documentation enhances our efficiency and productivity within the company.

To succeed, you naturally excel in a project management-like role.

THE TEAM

You will be part of our Product Management team, currently consisting of eight team members and a manager. Your closest colleagues will be product owners/specialists, application engineers, and front- and back-end developers.

QUALIFICATIONS

This role is independent, requiring you to reach out and collaborate with various experts within the company to gain understanding and input for the documentation. The role demands high organizational, structuring, and planning skills. To succeed in this role, you take significant personal responsibility and are a self-learner.

You have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, including experience with relevant software. Experience with Simplified Technical English is highly advantageous.

You do not need to master design or CAD, nor do you need to be technically skilled. However, you must have excellent English skills; Swedish is a plus.
